Connie Morrison

Connie Morrison, 65, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord, January 5, 2020, at Holston Valley Medical Center. Connie was born in Wilmington, Delaware, and has resided in Kingsport since 1992. She worked in health care, retiring in 2017. Connie was a member of New Life Freewill Baptist Church. She was a loving wife and mother who loved spending time with her family and church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Davis; and daughter, Jennifer Parton.

Connie is survived by her husband, Ron Morrison Sr.; son, Ron Morrison Jr.; four grandchildren, Brittany Jones, Alyssa Parton; Noah Grubb, and Rylei Burgmann; one great-grandchild, Brynlie Jones; mother, Nancy Davis; and two brothers, Keith Davis and Steven Davis.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at New Life Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow with Rev. Hal Calhoun officiating.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2020, at Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ron Morrison Jr., Greg Parton, Mark Durnin, Scott Peters, Dennis McGhee, and Mike Calhoun. Honorary pallbearer will be Jim Greer.
