Donald R. Willis

Donald R. Willis, 84, went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2019.  He was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.  He served in the U.S. Army and was employed at Holston Defense/BAE for 41 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W.D. and Lucy Willis; 5 brothers; 5 sisters; and great-grandson, Gabriel Willis.

Donald is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marie; 3 sons, David, Sammy and wife, Lucy, and Danny; 2 grandchildren, Kevin Willis, and Laura Cochran and husband, Jeff of Abingdon, VA; and 4 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Andrew, Joseph and Bella Cochran.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Good Shepherd Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Robert Fletcher officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be deacons and friends.
