Evonne M. Morrison

Evonne M. Morrison, 65, Jonesborough, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 20, 2019.  Born in Bluff City, she had resided most of her life in Jonesborough. Evonne graduated from Daniel Boone High School in 1972.  She had been employed by the Washington County School System for many years and most recently at Daniel Boone High School. Evonne was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and nana.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Tim Williams; parents, James Clyde and Willie Massengill; sister, Connie Chandler; and brother-in-law, Eddie Chandler.

Evonne is survived by her husband of 46 years, James Elliot Morrison; daughter, Aimee Smith and husband, Chad; son, Chad Morrison and wife, Shandon; 4 grandchildren, Jake Williams, Callie Williams, JoAnna Smith and Roxy Morrison; 2 sisters, Diana Summie and husband, David, and Shirley Massengill; 2 brothers, Benny Massengill and wife, Jenny, and Ronnie Massengill and wife, Becky; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-8:00 pm on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch.  The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Pastor Ancel Presnell Jr. officiating. 

The graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
