Michael "Mike" McDavid

Michael "Mike" K. McDavid, Blountville, TN, died Tuesday evening June 17, 2014 in Bristol.

Mike was born in Kingsport and had lived in this area his entire life. He attended Sullivan North High School. He was an employee of Bristol Motor Speedway for several years. Mike was a loving husband and father.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Mildred McDavid.

Mike is survived by his wife, Tonya McDavid of the home; and children, Ariana McDavid, Michael McDavid, Sarah McDavid, and Adam McDavid, all of the home; his sister, Phyllis Cole, Roan Mountain, TN; two brothers, Richard McDavid, Blountville, and Reece Christian and wife, Lisa, Blountville, TN; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home Chapel, Kingsport. The memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Steve Ley officiating.
