A. W. "Bill" Fletcher
A.W. "Bill" Fletcher, 98, Kingsport, died at 9:00 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2009, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City, TN, following a short illness. He lived in Kingsport practically his whole life and was employed with the Kingsport Press for many years. Mr. Fletcher was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Kate Fletcher, and son, Donald Frank Fletcher.
Surviving are one son, Charles L. Fletcher and wife Sharon of Talbott, TN; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Memorial Park on Friday, April 3, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jack P. Weikel officiating.
