Ada Jo Bloomer
Ada Jo Bloomer, 59, of Church Hill, passed away Monday, April 12, 2010 at her home.
She had been a resident of Church Hill all of her life and attended Church Hill High School. Ada was briefly employed with Kingsport Press and later with Pizza Plus.
Ada was a member of Lewis Lane Baptist Church. She was a caring, proud mother and loved to spend time talking with family and friends and caring for her two little dogs, "Shorty" and "Yorkie".
Preceding her in death were her husband, Bruce Bloomer, Jr.; parents, Reece and Pearl Lloyd; and two sisters, Frankie Lloyd and Reba Lloyd.
Surviving are two sons, Bruce Bloomer III and wife, Amanda of Fleetwood, NC and Brian Reece Bloomer and wife, Wanda of Church Hill; four grandchildren, Bethany and Natalie Bloomer, Arianna and Kallie Bloomer; three sisters, Jennie Baker and husband, Lionel of Kingsport, Helen Miller of Church Hill, and Nita Dixon and husband, Bob of Church Hill; one brother, Tommy Lloyd and wife, Rita of Church Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport with Rev. Jim Mullins and Rev. Andy Sensabaugh officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Mitchell Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
