Agnes King Barnes, 93, of Blountville, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2007, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Agnes was very active in her church and community.
Her husband, Ralph H. Barnes; and a son, James E. Barnes and wife, Margaret, preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Martha B. Sabin and husband, Ron; two sons, George K. Barnes and John H. Barnes and wife, Susan; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2007, at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 23, 2007, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Wheeler United Methodist Church. Memorial services will follow at 5:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Stuart Albee officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wheeler United Methodist Church, 211 Sanders Street, Blountville, TN 37617.
