Albert Brown

Albert Brown, 74, of Kingsport, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a brief illness. Albert was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church and enjoyed the great outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Knittel; parents, David and Tessie Brown; sister, Elizabeth Pippin; grandson, Greg Dye; and two great grandsons.

Albert is survived by his daughter, Sheila Harr and husband, Tim of Bristol, TN; sons, Al Brown and wife, Kathy of Blountville, Jim Brown and wife, Teresa of Bluff City, and Mark Brown and wife, Jean of Honaker, VA; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Chester Brown and wife, Kay of Elizabethton; sisters, Ester Rouse of Bristol, TN, Sylvia McCraken and husband, Douglas of Bristol, VA, Barbara Ruiz and husband, Tony of Bristol, TN; special friends, Lucille Hutson and Bill Fletcher; special neighbors Jerry and Glenna; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 25th from 12-2:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Stanley Sims officiating.

Interment will follow the funeral service at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Kingsport.

Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
