Albert Howard Walden

Albert Howard Walden, 87, Church Hill, TN, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, February 18, 2018.

He was a member of Faith Assembly Church in Rogersville. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Albert worked as a carpenter for most of his life, later owning his own company, Albert Walden Home Improvement, for over 40 years.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Elizabeth Derry Walden; siblings, Nettie Boling, Claude Walden, Bill Walden, Edith Smith, Ida Mae Maudlin, and Frank Walden; granddaughter, Crystal Hutson; and daughter, Debbie Henderson.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Leona Massengill Walden; daughter, Cheri Starnes (Michael); son, Scott Walden (Wanda); grandchildren, Angie, Tifanie, Emily, Lacy, and Stacy; great-grandchildren, Isabell, Katherine, Anna, and Lincoln; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Signature HealthCARE of Rogersville.

The family will receive family and friends on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. The service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Billy Ray Courtney and Pastor Joel Trigg officiating.

The graveside service will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park with Military Rites conducted by American Legion Posts 3/265.
