Albert Phillip Rankin Jr

Albert Phillip Rankin, Jr. 46, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at his home. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio and had resided in Kingsport for the past 3 years. Albert enjoyed cooking and watching football and basketball. His pride and joy was his son, Ian Rankin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Rankin Sr. and Virginia Rankin; and maternal grandmother, Rose Roche.

Albert is survived by his son, Ian Rankin; four sisters, Rose Villars and husband Harrison, Lori Hamrick and husband Russell, Linda Lloyd and husband Al, and Charlene Rankin; two brothers, Michael Kuhn and Mark Rankin; several nieces and nephews; one great niece; and two great nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
