Alice Faye Light, 63, of 2259 Diana Rd., Kingsport, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Faye was known for her generous heart, loving spirit, and always being there for everyone who needed her. She was employed by the Sullivan County School System as a school bus driver for special needs children, retiring after 25 years of service. Faye was a faithful member of Horsecreek Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sam and Elizabeth Helton Maness; mother Mae Maness Catron Crawford; sons, Carl Thomas Tommy Light, Jr. and Terry Lynn Light.
Survivors include the love of her life, Carl Thomas Light, Sr.; sisters, Patricia Red Houseright, Penny Murray and husband, Tom, Angela Crawford; brothers, Tony Catron and wife, Peggy, Marty Catron and wife, Karen, Scottie Catron and wife, Debbie; half brothers, Bobby Franklin, Tommy Franklin, Allan Franklin, Arthur Franklin, Johnny Franklin, Timmy Franklin, James Franklin, and Stevie Franklin; half sister, Phyllis Hartsock. Faye is also survived by several grandchildren of her heart and her very special nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport with Pastor Gary Hodges officiating. Burial will follow at Fall Branch United Methodist Church Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
