Alice Mae Lawson McClellan

Alice Mae Lawson McClellan, 72, of Kingsport, formerly of Stickleyville, VA passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 peacefully in her home following an extended illness. She was a member of Mountain View Primitive Baptist Church in Stickleyville, VA. She loved gardening, quilting and being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Helen Lawson; three brothers, Hubert, Red and Bill Lawson.

Alice is survived by two daughters, Sheri Williams and husband Billy, Kim Meredith and husband, David; one son, Eric McClellan; six grandchildren, Casey, Jessy, Dionna, Alyson, Lawson and Kinnick; three sisters, Pauline Lawson and husband Charles, Anne Lawson, Jean Bledsoe and husband, Gary; two brothers, C.D. Lawson and wife, Grace, Ralph Lawson and wife, Shirley; sister-in-law, Beulah Lawson and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Service will follow at 7 pm with Pastor Charles Brooks officiating. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 11 am at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA.

Her family will serve as Pallbearers.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kramer and his staff and the Caris Hospice staff for the loving care and tender concern they extended to our mother.
