Alice Faye Whitaker Neece "Blondie", 59, went to be with The Lord on Sunday, January 4, 2009, after an extended illness.
She was born April 18, 1949 in Jonesborough, TN. Mrs. Neece was a loving mother of three children and a devoted wife.
Her parents, Charlie and Lenora Sherfey and brothers, John, Everett, and Dennis Sherfey preceded her in death.
Surviving are her husband, Allen Neece, daughters, Loretta Davis, Misty Whitaker, Danielle Colgrove and husband Charles; stepson, Josh Neece; grandchildren, Telina, Samantha, and Harley Sledge; Richard Allen Davis, David Cozad, Alyssa and Chrley Nicole Colgrove; great-grandchild, Kaylynn Johnston; sister, Evelynn and husband Homer Hollands, brother, Raymond and wife Rosie Sherfey; several nieces and nephews; her special friends Elizabeth Hashbarger, Louise Mom Hammonds, and Deborah Rose.
Calling hours are 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Fall Branch Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Fall Branch Chapel with Rev. Ken Thacker and Pastor Jim Hill officiating.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
