Alice Williams Freeman

Alice Williams Freeman, 90, a native of Greene County and resident of Colonial Heights, TN, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 30, 2018, at Shannondale Health Care Center in Knoxville, TN.

Alice attended Baileyton High School and Milligan College. She was employed for 14 years in the Chemical Sales Division of Tennessee Eastman Company in Kingsport, TN. Alice was an avid gardener and loved her roses and fresh vegetables. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family and telling her jokes and stories. Her nearby neighbors were a special joy to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Myrtle Williams; and siblings, Blaine Williams, Lois Williams, Hugh Lon Williams, and Mary Nell Morelock.

She is survived by her husband, Guerney M. Freeman; her daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Dennis Lewis of Powell, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Preacher Russell Ferguson officiating.

Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery.

The family would like to recognize the staff of Shannondale Health Care Center for their extraordinary love and compassionate care during her time there.
