Alvin Bunel Copas
Alvin Bunel Copas, of Kingsport, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2011 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a battle with cancer. He was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Copas was an Army Veteran holding rank E-5.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Willo Dean Copas and father, Asberth Cloud Copas.
Bunel is survived by his wife, M. Susan Copas, of the home; one daughter, Audry Barnett and husband, Randy of Las Vegas, NV; one son, Stacy B. Copas of Mooresville, IN; two grandchildren, Sullivan "Sully" Copas and Ava Sue Copas also of Mooresville, IN; one brother, Tommy and wife, Carolyn of Gray, TN.
Military graveside services will be held at Mountain Home National Cemetery on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Military Honors by the American Legion Posts 3/265.
