Amoret Ann Wiley Little

Amoret Ann Wiley Little passed away peacefully in Roan Mountain TN on May 19, 2019.  Amoret was the daughter of Dr. William A. Wiley and Dorothy Letts Wiley.  She was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 26, 1932. 

She loved travelling and some of her adventures consisted of living in Austria for year; working as a Housemother at Hindman Settlement School of Hindmen Kentucky for 3 years and volunteering at Presbyterian Hospitality House in Fairbanks Alaska for a year.   Her studies included a BA from Mary Washington College; 2 years at the Art Institute of Chicago, Ill, and becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse where she worked at Indian Path Hospital and Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport TN for a total of 23 years.  

Amoret was preceded in death by husband Ernest Little, brother Charles Wiley and sister Mary Wiley.

Left to cherish her memory are sister Sharon P. Wiley of Knoxville, TN and niece and nephews Deborah Wiley Agnone of Charlotte, NC; Michael Wiley of Raleigh, NC; Brent Wiley of Tega Cay, SC  and Bill Wiley of Banner Elk, NC.

Amoret lived a life of deep faith and love and joy that affected all of those around her.  She will be deeply missed, but we rejoice in her homecoming.  Many thanks to Ellen Wiley (wife of Charles) for ministering to Amoret in her last months. 

A graveside service will be held at 1:45 pm on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
