Amy Mayo Lane

Amy Mayo Lane, 53, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Sunday, August 27, 2023. She was born in Kingsport and had lived there all of her life. Amy was a 1988 graduate of Sullivan North High School. She loved to travel, especially taking cruises, taking care of her fur babies, and shopping. Amy loved her family and cared for others.

She was preceded in death by her infant sister, Jennifer Leigh Mayo; maternal grandparents, Fred and Dorothy Snapp; and paternal grandparents, Hagen and Ruth Mayo.

Amy is survived by two sons, Brayden Allen and wife Megan of Johnson City and Ethan Lane of Knoxville; the love her life, Frank Thomas Pratt, Jr., of the home; granddaughter, Magnolia Allen; mother, Jill Carter and husband Harry of Kingsport; father, Ken Mayo and wife Claire of Gate City, VA; brother, Jeremy Mayo of Kingsport; two nephews; one niece; and two special furbabies, “Tito” and “Bailey”.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mike Stout officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
