Andrew Jay Hurd, 85, of Kingsport went home to be with the Lord Saturday July 5, 2008 at Brookhaven Healthcare.
Born in Hawkins County, he had resided in Kingsport most of his life. Mr. Hurd was an avid gardener.
Preceding him in death are his parents, William and Elizabeth Perry Hurd; two sisters, Pearl Ferguson and Jane Hamilton.
He is survived by six sisters, Lula H. Bishop, Mary Mosier, Nan Hodges, Lochiel Mosier, Anne Shuber and Yvonne Donovan; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Funeral Services will follow at 7pm with Rev. Gary Calhoun officiating.
Graveside Services will be 11am Tuesday at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Fred Mosier, David Mosier, Stewart Ferguson, Gary Kilgore, Josh Dingus, Curtis Dingus, Steve Ferguson and Bo Mosier.
