Anita Packard, 66, of Borden Mill Village, Kingsport, died Saturday morning, August 14, 2010 at Holston Manor after a courageous fight with cancer. She was born in California, raised in Cadott, Wisconsin, and worked in Chicago before moving to Kingsport in 1976. Anita worked for H&R Block and Citigroup for several years. She loved to read and crochet.
Anita is survived by her husband, Richard L. Packard of the home; son Carlos Packard and wife Misty of Daleville, AL; granddaughter Caitlynn Packard; sisters Kathy Herman of San Diego, CA and Marlene Ellsworth of San Diego, CA; brother Edward Morris of Clovis, NM; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport with Officiant Carlos Packard presiding. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
