Anna Mae Bible

Anna Mae Bible, 83, went to be with the Lord at 6 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2007 at Erwin Health Care Center in Erwin, TN.

Anna was born in Washington County, TN and had resided in Kingsport for most of her life. She was an employee of the Kingsport Press, retiring after 35 years service.

She was of the Baptist faith. Anna was a member of the Women of the Elks and enjoyed sewing and gardening.

Preceding her in death were her husband, James William Bible 1997; brother, Holt Bailey; sister, Evelyn Peterson; and parents, Josh Calvin Bailey and Margaret Ann Bailey.

Surviving are nieces, Sylvia Banner and Sandra Raynor, both of Erwin, TN; and several other nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Minister Jack Davis officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Tom Banks, Arnold Banner, Aaron Banner, Eric Banner, David Willis, and Ronnie Salyer.
