Anna Colgrove

Anna Colgrove, 69, Gray, went to receive her reward on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Johnson City Medical Center. Born in Albia, Iowa, she had resided in Gray for the last 20 years. Anna was a graduate of Upper Iowa University and retired from teaching school following many years in Iowa and Tennessee. Anna was a member of Mercy Seat Ministries.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bart and Alda Verwers; sister, Martha Luitjens; and daughter-in-law, Sheri Kay Bough.

Anna is survived by her husband of 42 years, David Colgrove; 2 daughters, Tiffany Hartquist and husband, Matt, and Valerie Harrington and husband, Stacy; son, Derek Bough; 5 grandchildren, Chloe, Hunter, Rhylie, Piper and Max; sister, Kay Karlzen; 2 brothers, Lonnie Verwers and wife, Kathy, and Bill Verwers and wife, Sandra; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Dale Colgrove officiating.
