Anna Mae Douglas

Anna Douglas, 91, of Kingsport, died Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Life Care Center of Gray after a short period of declining health. Anna was born July 17, 1922 in Kingsport, TN where she resided her entire life. For the past 10 years Anna called Preston Place II and Preston Place Suites her home. Special thanks to the staff for their wonderful and loving care.

Anna was a great cook, especially the desserts she baked for family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting. Her sweet smile and loving nature will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Lee and Lona Dillow; husband, Robert S. Douglas; sister, Helen M. Dillow; and brothers, James F. and John Paul Dillow.

Anna is survived by her daughter, Margaret Payne and husband, Terry of Kingsport; sister, Betty Brumitt of Dayton, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11-12:30 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens on Thursday at 1:00 pm.
