Anna Lee Fields, 75, of Kingsport, was promoted to Glory at 3:00 a.m., Monday, February 14, 2011, at Wexford House. Anna Lee was born in Kingsport, where she lived her entire life. She had a lifelong love of children, and served as a nanny for numerous children. She was a member of Evangel Family Worship Center, where she served faithfully in the nursery for ten years until her sickness.
Anna Lee was preceded in death by her mother, Cornie Fansler Fields Roberts; her father, Clint Fields; her stepfather, Rev. Jesse D. Roberts; sisters, Evelyn Fields and Naomi Roberts Dougherty; half-sisters, Charity Roberts Davis and Anniebee Roberts Feagins; and half-brothers, Hiram Roberts and George Roberts.
Surviving are a sister, Jessie Roberts Mrs. Bobby DeZarn; half-sisters, Mary Roberts Feagins, Lib Roberts Webb, and Nealy Roberts Hagy; half-brother, Bob Roberts and wife, Mildred; a special niece, Lisa DeZarn Mrs. Ricky Conant; special nephews, David Dougherty, Chris Dougherty and wife, Paula, and Scott Dougherty; several additional nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, and anytime at the home of Bobby and Jessie DeZarn, 1428 Sycamore Street, Kingsport. Services will follow at 8:00, with Pastor Jimmy Hagy and Pastor David Townsend officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 17, at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
