Anna Mae "Ebie" Morelock

Anna Mae "Ebie" Morelock, 88, of Kingsport Tennessee passed away at 2:40 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017 after a long battle with dementia. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother.

Anna Mae lived her entire life in Sullivan County and was an active member of the Beech Creek Community. She was the owner and operator of Tramel's Grocery on Lone Star Road for over thirty years. Then in her Fifties she became part-time real estate agent. Anna Mae was an active member of Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church.

Anna Mae loved to cook for everyone and to have huge Sunday dinners. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Tramel Morelock; daughters, Joan Crawford and Kathy Steadman; grandsons, Blandon Kane Steadman and Michael James Steadman; mother, Eula Pearl Whetsel Mullenix; father, Kendall "Shug" Mullenix; niece, Brandi Littleton Farley; and nephew, Mike Littleton.

Anna is survived by her grandchildren, Pamela Crawford Shade and husband Ted of Denver, CO, Nicky Crawford and wife Erin of London, England; great-grandchildren, Ava and Gavin Crawford, and Grayson Shade; siblings, Faye Mahaffey, Brenda Littleton, and Nathan Mullenix and wife, Judy; sons-in-law, and Jerry Crawford and Michael Steadman; sister-in-law, Lucille Martin; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow with Brother Keith Williams and Pastor Terry Roberts officiating.

Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
