Anna Marinelli, 59, of Kingsport, died Tuesday afternoon, July 17, 2007, at her home following an extended illness.
Born in Palo Del Colle, Italy, she had resided in Kingsport since 1991. Since coming to Kingsport she had worked at Giuseppe?s Restaurant and was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. Anna was a loving wife, mother, and friend.
Her parents, Nicola and Vita Lapietra, preceded her in death.
Surviving are her husband, Michele Marinelli of the home; one daughter, Maria V. Marinelli of the home; two sons, Raffaele Marinelli and Davide Marinelli, both of the home; three sisters, Santa Colaianni, Antonia Primitera, and Maria Alberto, all of Italy; three brothers, Marino Lapietra, Sebastiano Lapietra, and Domenico Lapietra, all of Italy; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church. A prayer service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the church.
A Mass of Resurrection will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. Dominic?s with Rev. Charles Burton officiating. Entombment services will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
