Anna Marie Bartnett Mullins

Anna Marie Bartnett Mullins, 82, of Kingsport, passed away September 10, 2012, at Asbury Center at Steadman Hill.

Anna was a native of New Rochelle, NY. Anna graduated from the New Rochelle Hospital School of Nursing in 1951. She worked as a registered nurse in Westchester County for 45 years. Upon retirement, she moved to east Tennessee to be closer to her family and traveled to Wilmington, NC to be with family as well.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Francis Mullins, Sr.; parents, Michael Francis Bartnett Sr. and Anna Maria Bartnett; brother, Michael Francis Bartnett, Jr.

Anna is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Owen and husband, David, of Gray, TN; son, James Francis Mullins, Jr. and wife, Gail, of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Kelly Owen, Matthew Owen, Michael Owen and Kevin James Mullins; most beloved brother, George Joseph Bartnett of Rochester, NY; nieces and nephews, Michael Bartnett, Kenneth Bartnett, Sharon Sutton, Shawn Bartnett, Patricia Condon and Kathleen Shaw; beloved sister-in-law, Myra Dickens of Palm Harbor, FL; special friend, Marie McHugh of NY.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 till 2pm Saturday September 22, 2012 at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will follow at 2pm with Father Mike Nolan officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
