April Dyer
April M. Dyer, 64, of Abingdon, VA, passed away Sunday March 28, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital of Bristol. Born in Iowa, she lived in the Kingsport area for most of her life. Her father and mother were Richard and Ann Dyer. Mr. Dyer passed away in 1972 and Mrs. Dyer passed away in 1982.
April was a saleslady for Handi-Clean products for 16 years and traveled extensively with her selling. She was a member of Waverly Road Presbyterian Church and most recently Pleasant View United Methodist Church in Abingdon, VA.
She is survived by two sisters - Anita Dyer of Scotts Valley, CA and Sally Richard and husband Dan of Gray, TN.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday March 30, 2010 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Barbara Farmer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Gray Community Chest, P.O. Box 8024, Gray, TN 37615 or to the charity of one's choice.
