April Dianne Shelton "Daddy's girl", 33, went to Heaven with her Dad on Sat. Feb 4, 2012.
April was born on July 4, 1978 in Germany but had been a resident of Hawkins County all of her life. She enjoyed decorating and crafts of all types.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Shelton, maternal grandfather, George Edens, and paternal grandparents, Charlie and Mellie Shelton, uncles, Gene Spears and Keith Shelton and aunt, Dianne Shelton.
Surviving are her special children, Quinten Shelton, Kayla Blankenbeckler, Tristen Neeley and Lexi Weatherly; mother, Dianne Shelton; one sister, Kim Tart and husband Matthew; brother, Billy Shelton, maternal grandmother; Virginia Edens; several aunts and uncles; nieces, Mackenzie, Sierra, and Peyton Tart, Kendra Everhart; great niece, Aubrey, fiance', Billy Roberts, and her special baby, Sanchez her loving dog.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 8pm with Rev. Woody Tackett and Rev. Harold Shoemaker officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm Friday in Church Hill Memory Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
