Arlene Corona, 75, of Kingsport Colonial Heights, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Hammond, IN and had resided in Kingsport since 2000. Arlene retired from the U. S. Department of Energy in Paducah, KY.
Arlene was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church. She was a loving grandmother who enjoyed watching her grandchildren playing sports. She enjoyed watching the Lady VOLS and the Chicago Cubs. Arlene was an accomplished accordion player.
Her parents, John and Marie Zambo preceded her in death.
Surviving are her husband, Rudy Corona, Kingsport; son, Mark Corona and wife LeAnna, Blountville; granddaughter, Caitlin Ball an husband David, Blountville; grandson, Caleb Corona, Blountville; sister, Shirley Borah, Kingsport; brother, Dan Zambo and wife Jacqui of Munster, IN; niece, Miranda Panos; three nephews, Kris Zambo, Aaron Zambo, and Scott Borah; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Dominic's Catholic Church with Father Mike Nolan officiating.
