Arnold Leroy "Punk" Sayler, 69, of Jonesborough went to be with the Lord Monday, November 10, 2008, at Johnson City Medical Center.
He was owner/operator of S & W Home Improvement for 35 years and was of the Baptist faith. Arnold loved fishing, gardening, and being with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, "daddy", papaw, and friend.
Preceding him in death were his mother and father, Velma and Glen Saylor; and one brother, Sidney Saylor.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Dot Saylor of Jonesborough; two daughters, Rhonda Saylor of Jonesborough, Donna Harris and husband Eddie of Fall Branch; one son, Lee Saylor of Jonesborough; two grandchildren, Zackary Smith and Brandon Saylor; two sisters, Sherry Goff and Regina Day both of Talbott, TN; and several special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family wishes to say a special thanks to the Johnson City Medical Center ICU Staff and especially to Mike Registered Nurse.
Receiving of friends will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Wilkie Brookshire and Rev. Johnny Bowen officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Opie Heath, Derrick Goff, Kevin Goff, Tyler Bowen, Olin Bowen, Roger Bowen, Gary Bowen, and Eddie Harris.
