Ashley Ann Shaffer

Ashley Ann Shaffer, 20, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 27, 2007, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and attended Sullivan South High School. Ashley was of the Baptist faith. She had a great love for animals and never knew a stranger. She was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter and niece, and was also a friend to many.

Preceding her in death were a son, Brayden Lee Shaffer; her father, Gary ?Jaybird? Lee Shaffer; and paternal grandparents, Earl Shaffer and Estelle Shaffer.

Surviving are her mother, Michelle Shaffer, Kingsport; two brothers, Gary Lee Shaffer Jr. and Toby Lee Shaffer, both of Kingsport; her maternal grandparents, Hoyt and Sally Carroll, Kingsport; special friends, Chelsea, Sarah, Megan, John, Jen and Mandy, Eric, Davey, David Ennis Jr., and David Ennis Sr.; aunts and uncles, Annette and Alan Spurlock, Sonny and Becky Carroll; special nieces and nephews, Anna Marie Spurlock, Shawn Shaffer, and Peyton Shaffer; special cousins, Nikki Shaffer and Stetson Laney; and several other aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.

Services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Elder Oscar Irvin officiating.

Ashley?s wishes were to be cremated following the funeral service.
