B. Lynn "Big Daddy" Barrett

B. Lynn "Big Daddy" Barrett of Gray, 71, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016. Born in Sullivan County, he had lived in this area most of his life and graduated from Church Hill High School where he played football. Lynn loved to pull jokes on people all the time. He had a great memory and could always tell a great story. He loved to hunt and fish. Lynn was a saved child of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Gertrude Barrett; wife, Dura Faye Barrett; two sisters, Helen Gray and Thelma Parton; and three brothers, Delmar, Paul and Bill Barrett.

Lynn is survived by daughter, Brandi Kodak; son, Tony Barrett and wife, Renee; four grandchildren, Brandon Farmer, Timothy Barrett, Gage Farmer and Juliann Farmer; great-granddaughter, Jasmine Barrett; two sisters, "Sis" Hite and Judy Smith; brother, James Barrett; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 6:00 pm at the home of his sister, Judy Smith, 1879 Rock Springs, Rd., Kingsport, TN.
