Barbara Taylor Bettini, Church Hill, TN, died peacefully Monday, December 1, 2014 at her residence, surrounded by family following a period of declining health. Born in Hawkins county, a daughter of the late Paul and Beatrice Haun, she had resided in this area most of her life. She was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church and was a member of Wesleyan Sunday School Class. Barbara had been employed for many years by Kingsport Armature and Electric.

She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, Nonnie and friend who enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Sam L. Taylor (1979), and brother-in-law, Jakie Anderson.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 30 years, Joe F. Bettini, Jr.; her children, Beth Taylor and husband, Wayne Barrett of Church Hill, Mark Taylor and wife, Tammy of Church Hill, Tom Bettini and wife, Lisa of Kingsport, and Alice Bettini of Athens, GA; two grandchildren, Taylor Barrett and Garrison Barrett; siblings, Jim Haun and wife, Barbara of Church Hill, Nancy Dykes and husband, Archie of Leawood, KS, and Eula Anderson of Church Hill; aunt, Gladys Brooks and husband, Robert; sister-in-law, Frances Gage, Johnson City, TN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Wellmont Hospice and Bright Start Home Health Care.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-7:00 pm in the parlor of First Broad Street United Methodist Church and at other hours at the residence of her daughter Beth Taylor.

A memorial service will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm in the sanctuary of First Broad Street United Methodist Church with The Rev. Mickey Rainwater and The Rev. Jack P. Weikel officiating. Inurnment will be at 1:30 pm Friday in the First Broad Street United Methodist Church Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sam L. Taylor Scholarship Fund, 509 Birch St., Church Hill, TN 37642.
