Barbara Crawford Jackson

Barbara Crawford Jackson, 68, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County and had retired from Tennessee Eastman. Barbara was a member of Solomons Temple Missionary Baptist Church. She dedicated over twenty years of service to the Relay for Life. Barbara was an extraordinary person and was very dedicated to her fiancé, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Edith Crawford, and her brother, Jack Crawford.

Barbara is survived by her partner, Jack Thompson of Kingsport; daughter, Wendy Harrison of Church Hill; two grandchildren, Wesley and Corey Harrison; great-granddaughter, Bailey Harrison; four sisters, Alice Mullins and husband, Benny of Kingston, TN, Kathy Crawford of Church Hill, Janice Ewing of Church Hill, and Judy Crawford of Oak Ridge; brother, Ellis Crawford Jr. of Baileyton; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Rodney Fields officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 am at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Harrison, Jonathan Ewing, Ryan Mullins, Dustin Crawford, Benny Mullins and Kevin Cooper.
