Barbara Sue "Bobbie Jo" Walker, 64, of 112 Virgil Avenue, Kingsport, was called home to fish in the crystal sea following an unexpected illness.
Bobbie Jo was born in Long Island and had resided in the Lynn Garden area for the past 30 years. She had worked at various jobs throughout the Kingsport area.
She attended Higher Ground Baptist Church.
Bobbie Jo loved to fish, her music, singing, her family, and her animals, especially "Nipper".
She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Donald "Donnie" Sharp; and brother, David Vest.
Survivors include her life companion, Wilma King, Kingsport; daughter, Donna "Kristy" Cooper and husband Robin, Kingsport; son, Donald "Donnie" Sharp and wife Brenda "Bucky", Kingsport; "bonus" sons, Lloyd Witt and wife Debbie, Kingsport and Michael Eric Witt and wife Steyla, U. S. Army; and one brother, James Walker, Tuscan, Arizona.
Calling hours are from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Services will follow at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Gale Flanary officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Mount Carmel.
Pallbearers will be Paul Stanley, Joe King, and James King.
