Becky Lemmons Duckworth, 49, Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 28, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her family. Born in Kingsport on February 18, 1965, a daughter of the late John C. and Mable Lemmons, she had resided in this area her entire life. Becky was a Christian who will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Wellmont Hospice House.
Becky is survived by her daughters, Amber Gravens and husband, Michael, and Mara Duckworth and boyfriend, Chris Frazier, both of Kingsport; five grandchildren, Joshua Duckworth, Zach Lemmons, Jewell Lemmons, Nikkie Johnson and Steven Johnson; sisters, Glenna Edwards, Pat Overbay & husband, Rick, Addie McMurray and Pam Weiss and husband, Steve; brothers, Johnny Lemmons and wife, Mandy, Charlie Lemmons and Brad Lemmons and wife, Amy; special friends, Tammy Moore and Lisa and George Depew; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Boyd Holder officiating.
A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Chestnut Flats Church Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside service should meet at the cemetery at 10:45 am.
Pallbearers will be Larry Duckworth, Michael Gravens, Aaron Gryder, Corey Copas, Chris McCarty, Myron Marshall, Paul Robinson and Wesley McMurray.
