Belinda K. Mitchell

We love and miss you. Love your child, mom and sisters.

Belinda K. Mitchell, 58, of Kingsport went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 9, 2014, unexpectedly at her home.

Born in Kingsport on August 27, 1955, a daughter of Patsy Mitchell of Kingsport and the late John H. Mitchell, she had resided in this area her entire life.

Belinda was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School and she retired from the Kingsport Press in 1993, following 20+ years of service. She loved riding Harley's, baking by her pool and most importantly, spending time with her family. Belinda was a very loving mom, daughter, sister and friend.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim and Dallie Frank, Leonard and Nellis Mitchell; brother, Johnny H. Mitchell; and she loved her dog, the late Katie Doodles.

Belinda leaves behind her mother, Patsy Mitchell; a daughter she loved so much, Shannon Leigh Vaughan and partner, Elizabeth Pierson; two sisters she loved so much, Tonda Necessary Graham and husband, Troy, and Patty Moore and husband, Kirby; four nephews she loved, Brian Necessary and wife, Kristen, Joshua Necessary and wife, Brandy, Hunter Moore, and Carson Moore; five great-nephews, Camden Necessary, Bryson Necessary, Baylor Necessary, Sawyer Necessary, and Knox Necessary; one great-niece, Brylee J. Necessary; one special uncle, Thomas Frank; very special friend Tina Morrison; special friends Robert and Susie; also special family friends' sister, Penny Adkins; and several cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2014, at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport, and at other hours at the residence of her mother. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Doyle and Shirley Castle officiating.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2014, at Fordtown Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brian Necessary, Joshua Necessary, Hunter Moore, Carson Moore, Troy Graham, and Danny Adkins.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Camden Necessary, Bryson Necessary, Baylor Necessary, Sawyer Necessary, Knox Necessary, and Miss Brylee J. Necessary.
