Ben Williams

Benjamin Matthew "Ben" Williams, 30, Kingsport, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 15, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and a 2001 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School. Ben was a member of Reedy Creek Presbyterian Church and had been employed for several years by the Kingsport Armature and Electric Company.

Ben grew up playing baseball and enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and UT football. He especially enjoyed taking care of his daughters, Elin and Jaila.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Margaret Diehl; and paternal grandparents, Ernest and Janie Hicks Williams.

Ben is survived by his parents, Barbara and Ernie Williams, Kingsport; sister, Anne Pierce and husband, Daryl of Kingsport; two daughters, Elin Williams and Jaila Dunn, both of Kingsport; beloved girlfriend and mother of his daughters, Chasity Huffman of Kingsport; two nieces and two nephews, Amelia, Hannah, William and Nicholas Pierce; several cousins; and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Marshall D. Steinle officiating.

Interment will follow at the Fain Family Cemetery in Kingsport.
