Bernard Vincent Haulsee, 102, of Kingsport, died Wednesday morning, August 17th, 2011. Born in Marion, Virginia, he had resided in Kingsport since 1943. He retired from Tennessee Eastman Company in the late 1960's after 35 years of service.
He was preceded in death by wife Margaret Haulsee; one sister, Mildred Scott and two brothers, Bruce and Bill Haulsee.
He is survived by two daughters, Billie Sue Monroe of Knoxville and Cissy Taylor and husband Crockett of Kingsport; three sons, Donald J. "Pete" Haulsee and wife Phyllis of Johnson City, David L. Haulsee and wife Phyllis of Knoxville and Richard W. "Mike" Haulsee of Jefferson city; eight grandchildren, Mike and Marsha Haulsee, Becky and Chuck Bradley, Scott and Kristi Haulsee, Nicole and Jeff Waters, Mark and Debbie Monroe, Laura Monroe, Lynn Taylor and Reid Osborne, and Kim Taylor and Scot Amburn; two step grandchildren, Leigh Ann Lakins and Christy Hoover; fourteen great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; one sister, Ruby Haulsee of Marion, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Friday, August 19th, 2011 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. A graveside service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 20th, 2011 at Oak Hill Memorial Park with family members will serve as pallbearers. Rev. Tommy Holtzclaw officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. to go in procession.
