Bertha "Bert" Worsham, 90, of Bristol VA, formerly of Kingsport, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at her home after an extended illness. A native of Glamorgan, VA, she came to Kingsport in 1943. She was employed by Sears for a number of years in Kingsport and Cleveland, TN. Mrs. Worsham was a Protestant and a member of The Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Miller; father, Alden Miller; stepfather, Rev. Earl Miller; brothers, Kermel Miller, Robert Miller, Chester Miller, Earl Miller, Jr., and Larry Ray Miller; and sisters, Helen Vanover and Margaret Greear.
Bert is survived by her son Clyde Ray Huff and wife, Linda of Houston, TX; granddaughter, Dorian Sparks; great-grandsons, Justin and Joshua Sparks; step-grandson, Thomas Caraway; four sisters, Ruth Whited, Ruby Coates, Rosie Miller and Lorene Delaney, all of Bristol, TN; brother, Sol Miller and wife, Shirley of Coeburn, VA; special nephews, Dennis Miller and wife, Nancy and James Huff and wife, Patsy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1-2:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Pastor J.W. Depew officiating. Family member and friends will serve as pallbearers.
