Beryl Blakley

Beryl Lee (B.L.) Blakley, 74, Kingsport, passed away Tuesday morning, April 2, 2019, at Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness. Beryl was born in Kingsport where he had lived his entire life.  He was a graduate of Sullivan High School, class of 1964, and retired from Eastman after 35 years of service. Beryl was a Mason being a member of Johnson Lodge #274.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Beryl Lee and Connie Heck Blakley.

Beryl is survived by his wife, Stephanie Cox Blakley of the home; sister, Angela Bevins and husband, Mike of Charleston, SC; and niece, Rebekah and family of Charleston, SC.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Masonic Rites by Johnson Masonic Lodge #274 and Elder Oscar Irvin and Mark Brockwell doing the eulogy. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Alan Dunn, Wayne South, Tom Sells, Dean Sells, Bill Greer, Craig Cox, Zackary Cox and Larry Burrow. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Dunn and Dave McClure.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, 1101 Browns Mills Rd. # 6, PMB 321, Johnson City TN 37605, or to Shriners Hospital, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605.
