Bessie Agnes Hendry Brown

Bessie Agnes Hendry Brown passed away Sunday evening, October 14, 2012. Born September 14, 1910, she celebrated her 102nd birthday with friends and some family members. Agnes was a devoted wife, mother and a caregiver who loved to make quilts and crochet. She was a member of Sullivan Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luna C. Brown, daughter, Geneva Brown Spaulding, son, Nelson C. Brown, father, Alvin Hendry, mother, Florence Dodd Hendry, 5 brothers and 5 sisters.

Survivors are 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, one sister, Iva Zan Thrall and one very special friend, Kaethe Williams.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 17th from 11-12:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday October 17th at 12:30 pm at East Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Danny Sykes officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
