Bessie H. Hartgrove of Kingsport, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at her home.
Born in Church Hill, she had resided in Kingsport for over 30 years. Bessie was retired from Smokey Mountain Hosiery and was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Mary Ann Hartgrove, Charlice Hartgrove, and Margaret Elizabeth Marsh; two brothers, Robert Hartgrove and James C. Hartgrove; and one nephew, Larry Hartgrove.
Survivors include a brother, Herbert Hartgrove; sister-in-law, Edna Hartgrove; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Stanley Sims officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Mount Carmel.
