Betty Mull Brainard, Kingsport, died early Friday, July 31, 2009 at Wexford House.
A lifelong resident of the Kingsport area, Betty was a graduate of Sullivan High School and an employee of Wal-Mart.
Betty was a member of the Alpha Nu Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority.
Her husband, William C. Brainard, Jr.; sons, Gregory and Wesley Brainard; parents, Grady and Bertha Mull; sisters, Jean McCurry and Mary Allen; and brother, Grady Mull, Jr. preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughter, Sherry Bond of Denver, Colorado; son, Michael R. Brainard and wife Marenda of Palm Beach Florida; six grandchildren, Heather, Brie, Jake, and Zak Bond, Savannah and Reagan Brainard; sister, Kathy Crawford of Kingsport; brother, Rudy Mull of Church Hill; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Sherrod and Irene Pyle, both of Kingsport; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. The family will also receive friends at Kathy and Gary Crawford's home following the interment.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 12:00 noon at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of one's choice.
