Betty Burdine

Betty Burdine, 86, of Kingsport, died Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at her home. Born in Knoxville, she had resided in Kingsport since 1958. Betty was a homemaker and a Methodist. After her children were grown, she retired from ETSU where she had worked as an executive secretary for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ray K. Burdine, and son, Dr. Les Burdine.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Dr. Becky Vestal and husband, Tab of Kingsport; and grandchildren, Lesley Vestal, Gary Vestal, Jackson Burdine, and Walker Burdine.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

The graveside service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Joe Green officiating.
