Betty Sue Cooper

Betty Sue Cooper, Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 30, 2007 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born in Sullivan County and a lifelong resident, she retired from Holston Valley Hospital.

Betty Sue was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Cecil A. Cooper, Sr. and Edna Quillen Cooper; sister, Jeanette Cooper; and brother, William H. Cooper.

Surviving are two sisters, Maryrose Stapleton and Ida Jo Livesay; one brother, Cecil A. Cooper, Jr. and wife Patsy M., all of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Wayne Baker and Pastor Jerry Musick officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Robert G. Farthing, Michael Farthing, Rick Stapleton, David Stapleton, Jeff Stapleton, Brandon Stapleton, and Johnny Gordon.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon Memorial Bible Program, Kingsport East Camp, P. O. Box 3217, Kingsport, TN 37664.
