Betty Ann Crawford, 62, Fall Branch, passed away Monday, February 2, 2015, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

She was born April 24, 1952, and lived her entire life in Sullivan and Washington County. She was a loved daughter, sister, and special aunt. Betty was of the Baptist faith and was saved at a very young age. She kept the faith until the very end.

Betty was a secretary at Goode Decorating Company in Kingsport. She worked many years at Greene Valley Developmental Center until a car wreck ended her career.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dana Harman and Alice (Hensley) Crawford; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; maternal grandparents, Harry and Edna (Smith) Hensley; paternal grandparents, Byrd and Audra (Jack) Crawford; and a niece, Baby Alice Michelle Crawford.

Betty is survived by two sisters, Marie and Jim Trammell of the home where she was cared for and Karen and David Woolsey of Greeneville; several special nieces and nephews, Kristy and David Carter of Swansboro, NC, Ashley Woolsey of Chattanooga, TN, and Jonathon Woolsey of Knoxville, TN, Cody Trammell of Morristown, Jamie and Chad Race of Greeneville; a very special niece, Allison Trammell of the home; special great-nieces, Kadence and Kyliegh Carter of Swansboro, NC, Sadie and Macy Trammell of Greeneville; aunts and uncles, Sue and Gene Jones, Gene Hensley, Betty Grills, Jimmy and Darlene Hensley, Phyllis Hensley all of Kingsport, and James Crawford of McMinn County.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. John Buchanan and James Buchanan officiating.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike Hensley, Patrick Hensley, Travis Hensley, Lester Grills, Mike Gragg, Jimmy Trammell, David Woolsey, Jonathon Woolsey and Scotty Hensley.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Susan G. Komen, ww5.komen.org, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
