Betty Imogene Baker Harden, 84, of Kingsport, entered into the arms of Jesus on Friday, April 7, 2017, at Wexford House. Born in Roda, VA, she had resided most of her life in Kingsport. Betty had retired from the Kingsport Press. She was a member of the Salvation Army Church, Kingsport. Betty loved the Lord with all of her heart. She was loved by everyone and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Harden; grandson, Timmy Grissom; parents; one sister; and three brothers.
Betty is survived by one daughter, Debbie Grissom and husband Jerry; three grandchildren, Matthew, Joey, and Jessica and her boyfriend, B.J.; one great-grandson, Dylan; and special nephew, Robert Derry and wife Nell.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Raymond Hammonds officiating.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 505 Dale Street, Kingsport, TN 37660.
A special thanks to all of the staff at Wexford House for the love and care that was given to Betty.
