Atlanta, Georgia - Betty Ketron Jacobs, 79, passed away on Sunday, September, 2, 2007, at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia. Formerly a resident of Kingsport, she had lived in Atlanta for the past year.
Mrs. Jacobs was born in Kingsport to the late Joseph Henry and Grace Bradley Ketron. She graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and attended Brenau and Tusculum Colleges. She was married to Edward Taylor Jacobs, who passed away in 1996. She was a lifelong member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Golder and husband Mark, Marietta, Georgia, and Susan Jacobs, Dawsonville, Georgia, two grandsons, Brad Golder and wife Lovisa, Midland, Michigan, and Bennett Golder, Washington, D.C., sisters, Helen Poole, Kingsport, and Mary Ross, Rogersville, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted on Saturday, September, 8, 2007 at 11 a.m. at First Broad Street United Methodist Church with Dr. Ted Hagen officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
