Betty Jean White

Betty Jean White, 83, of Athens, Tennessee, formerly of Kingsport, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016. She was the wife of the late James Paul White of Kingsport, and grandmother of the late Patrick Paul Long of Athens. She was the daughter of the late Frank Owen McAmis and Lena McAmis Trout.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna Gail Long and son-in-law Sim P. Long, of Athens; one son, Jim White and wife Penny, of Knoxville; one sister, Carolyn McAmis Walton of Baltimore; one special nephew, Roger McAmis and wife Melanie; one special niece, Becky Quillen and husband Steve; and several other nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Vic Wallace officiating.
